Purpose
To assist the Utilities and Energy Management (UEM) power systems team with special projects
Responsibilities
To assist with journey-level installation, retrofit, repair, and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in an electrical generation and chill water production environment.
Responsible for assisting with journey-level craftsmanship in the installation, retrofit, repair, and maintenance of circuit breakers, motors, motor starters, VFDs, soft-starters, PLC/DCS systems, UPS systems, ATS's, lighting and other electrical, instrumentation and controls related items.
Required Qualifications
High school grad OR GED. Completion of a relevant technical trade school. 2 years of electrical installation experience
Preferred Qualifications
2-years electrical installation experience in an industrial environment
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, lifting, pushing, or pulling, standing.
Exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards typical to power plants, chilling stations, and utility distribution systems. May be required to work in tunnels, manholes, and work extended shifts.
Work Shift
Hours per week - 40
Work hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Additional explanation of work hours: 6:00 am-3:30 pm Mon-Thurs and 6:00 am-2:30 pm every other Friday
