Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seeks a dynamic and collaborative Senior Director People & Culture Business Partner. This job reports to the Chief People & Culture Officer in the People & Culture (P&C) division under the Office of the COO division of PPFA. The Senior Director, P&C Business Partner Leader is a member of the P&C Leadership Team and will provide supervision to the P&C Business Partners. The People & Culture division is a critical partner in building the people strategy and organization culture that attracts, develops and retains top talent.
Purpose: The Senior Director, P&C Business Partner Team Leader plays a critical role in providing leadership, supervision, direction, and guidance to a team of P&C Business Partners. The Senior Director is responsible for ensuring that the Business Partners integrate organizational processes and practices in support of the PPFA Leaders and staff as they build a culture of trust, learning and belonging. The Senior Director will also be a Business Partner with client responsibility. The Senior Director will create the framework that will support the delivery and integration of the P&C people strategy into the organization. The Senior Director, P&C Business Partner Leader and their team support the development of strategies, systems and programs that support the P&C strategic goals while meeting organizational needs.
Delivery: The Senior Director, P&C Business Partner Leader is responsible to tie together organizational goals and strategy, workplace culture and values, leadership and employee engagement needs and desires and combine these elements to meet the optimal organizational outcomes in all programs and initiatives.
●Provide leadership guidance and thought partnership to the P&C Business Partners and various divisional teams and departments.●Develop and lead plans for project, program, and resource needs to create conditions for optimal and successful delivery of programming to support the mission of the organization, analyzing gaps, identifying opportunities, and maximizing existing resources to deepen the work of P&C.●Originate P&C long-term goals in alignment with organization-wide strategic goals.●Manage employee relations and conflicts, offering mediation and resolution while offering a diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging lens.●Offer performance management and policy guidance and support to people managers; supports staff growth and development.●Build strategic approaches to improve the relationship between leaders and employees.
Engagement: The Senior Director, P&C Business Partner Leader works closely with all members of the P&C Leadership Team in order to deliver on P&C’s commitment to deliver a best-in-class people strategy and organizational culture.
●Networks with a range of stakeholders, developing strategies and objectives based on PPFA and P&C initiatives and programs.●Serves as a coach and/or mentor for leaders and staff for any and all employee and leadership related needs.●Liaises with leaders to offer current and resourceful guidance on policies and best practices to ensure quality and compliance and to support PPFA’s commitment to building a culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.●Demonstrate keen ability to collaborate and build relationships with leaders across divisions and other key stakeholders, including affiliate leaders.●Develop ambitious, achievable communications plans to lead team in●Exemplify exceptional judgment and ability to handle rapid-response scenarios calmly
