Technical Store Controller directs the operation of the technical storeroom which manages supplies related to equipment maintenance, evaluates inventory levels, determines appropriate reorder points, and develops and implements methods for distributing items in an efficient manner.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient storekeeping methods and procedures
  • Establish inventory levels and reorder points base on usage and delivery lead times to ensure adequate supply
  • Develop and maintain procedures to comply with Nestlé stores control policies
  • Receive or supervise the receipt of supplies and equipment for the stockroom; check for quality, quantity and conformance with specifications and reject shipments not meeting indicated specifications. Refer major decisions regarding non-compliance with specifications to a superior
  • Order supplies, parts and equipment to replenish stock including purchasing emergency items, as required
  • Review inventory of tools and equipment within the storeroom
  • Compile stock control records and information, such as consumption rate of items in storage to determine stock supply and need for replenishment
  • Review files to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with all customers of the stockroom
  • Support company, site and department goals
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment availability and cost consciousness by reviewing parts order and frequencies and raising challenges as necessary
  • Participate in improvement teams as a key resource for parts/components usage information

 

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Financial awareness / experience
  • Experience in food/beverage processing equipment
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • SAP user experience highly recommended; SAP purchasing/inventory experience a plus
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage multiple groups
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance costing principles
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety, compliance and quality
  • Detail-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to accept change and effectively manage it
  • Continuous improvement mindset
