Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior E-7 Manufacturing Planner - Electrical located in Tukwila, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating manufacturing engineering planning instructions, defining parts, plans and tools requirements as needed to support production. This position will support the USAF E-7A Mission System & Lab Test Manufacturing Engineering team!

Objectives of the USAF E-7 program are to build and deliver two rapid prototype E-7 aircraft and associated Airborne Mission Segment and Mission Support Segment lab infrastructure include upgrade of major airborne and ground-based systems. The US-based team is managed by Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), a unit of Boeing Mobility and Surveillance (M&S), the E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable, and reliable command-and-control system. A unit of The Boeing Company, BDS is one of the world's largest defense, space, and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile producer of military aircraft and commercial/civil/government space systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integration between Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Supplier Management

  • Communicating Part Delivery and Tracking Status to senior leadership

  • Develop Build plan and Installation Planning as well as incorporating part definition requirements

  • Hardware and Software Forecasting and Tracking

  • Long Lead Parts Reconciliation

  • Provide production support and facilitate production build planning

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical manufacturing planning experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years’ experience in using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OneNote

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with GOLD system or Supply Chain ordering systems

  • Experience with power systems or power subsystems

  • Experience with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) such as WIRS, MESci, GOLDesp, CMES, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Level 4): $81,600 - $110,400
