Linen Room Tech - Full Time Nights

Responsible for maintaining sufficient inventories of clean hospital linen and distribution of same to all using departments.

Core Competencies

• Supplies linen and scrubs to all using departments based on established par quantities to carts, nurseries and other storage areas.
  
  
• Fills all written or verbal requests for linen, scrubs and pillows.
  
  
• Maintains adequate supply of linen through daily inventory and placement of linen orders.
  
  
• Unloads clean linen from supplier cart and places on appropriate stationary shelving in the linen room.
  
  
• Enters all transactions to insure accurate month end linen distribution charges.
  
  
• Utilizes proper methods when processing paperwork to assure correct charging and accountability.
  
  
• Informs supervisor when inventory levels are inadequately high or low, when assignments are incomplete, or of any other irregularities in service.
  
  
• Straightens linen on the shelves. Consolidates and/or empties linen delivery carts. Unloads all scrubs from carts. Maintains security of linen/scrub room by keeping door locked at all times. Dust mops and damp mops floors.
  
  
• Communicates any special requests or occurrence to oncoming shift.
  
  

Compensation Range
$23.00 - $26.72 / Hour
