Pharmacy Tech Compounding

Job Title: Compounding Lab Pharmacy Technician/Lab Assistant

Reports To: Compounding Lab Pharmacist

Status: Full-time

Location: Crooksville, OH

 

Responsibilities:

1. Completes compounding responsibilities on a daily basis
2. Batch compounder-uses bigger scale to make large batches of pain creams

     and hormone creams

1. Individual compounder-uses smaller scale to compound individuals, stat

    orders and to fill premade compounds

1. Compounding
2. Lot, label, record in refill book all prescriptions made using DYMO, log sheet

    and refills book

1. Answer phones as workflow allows
2. Order entry

8.Answer all phone calls that come into lab

9.Fill all prescriptions that are already batched

10.Refill calls daily

Training:

• Is up to date on training and competency in compounding and USP 795 and

Policies and Procedures

• Yearly reviews and evaluations will ensure continuing growth in

compounding knowledge

Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience preferred High School Diploma or

GED equivalent. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician

Trainee with the State Board of Pharmacy preferred.

Scheduled hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
