We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Strategic Finance Senior Manager to join our Corporate Finance team at Fivetran. This role is critical in preparing the company for scaling external-facing financial operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in investment banking and strategic finance, with the ability to independently lead high-stakes initiatives, capital strategy, investor relations, and M&A.

You will partner closely with the CFO, Legal, Investor Relations, and cross-functional leadership teams to drive critical strategic financial initiatives that directly impact the company’s trajectory toward maturity. This role requires a seasoned operator who can synthesize complex financial data, engage with external stakeholders, and shape long-term corporate strategy.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office.

 

What You’ll Do

 

• Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Lead the development of end-to-end financial frameworks for public company readiness, including long-range planning (LRP), three-statement models, investor-aligned guidance, and scenario modeling​. Facilitate strategic planning discussions across executive leadership and cross-functional partners to align on financial priorities, long-term goals, and key corporate milestones.
• Investor Relations & Capital Markets: Own and manage deliverables for external investors, including earnings releases, investor presentations, analyst day materials, and Q&A prep. Identify, define, and maintain key external-facing company metrics that align with investor expectations and strategic positioning. Serve as a key financial spokesperson and strategic partner to the CFO office​.
• Capital Structure & Financing Strategy: Drive capital strategy by structuring and executing debt and equity transactions. Build use-of-proceeds analyses and board-level materials for capital raising efforts​.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead valuation modeling, deal structuring, and due diligence for strategic transactions. Collaborate with executive leadership, legal, and external advisors throughout the M&A lifecycle​.
• TAM Sizing, Benchmarking, Market Intelligence and Analysis: Conduct external market sizing, peer benchmarking, and competitive positioning to inform corporate strategy and support investor-facing communications​.
• Special Projects from the CFO: Lead and execute ad-hoc strategic initiatives on behalf of the CFO, often involving sensitive, time- critical analyses, cross-functional alignment, and executive-level deliverables.

 

Skills We’re Looking For

 

• 8+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, or corporate development, ideally with public market exposure
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and strategic planning skills
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with senior executives, board members, investors, and external stakeholders
• Deep understanding of capital markets, M&A, and equity/debt financing mechanisms
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives independently and drive outcomes
• Executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment

 

Bonus Skills​

 

• Experience managing credit ratings or investor relations in a public or late-stage private company
• Familiarity with financial planning tools and data platforms (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Tableau, Snowflake)
• Background in management consulting, with exposure to corporate transformation
