About the role

The Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for overall management of projects from bid preparation, permitting, construction through final acceptance by the client.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with and manage client paperwork for projects; including daily/weekly progress reports, sub-contractor arrangements
  • Manage project budget against actuals and projected actuals and raise issues if actuals may exceed budget
  • Schedule all field appointments between Renu and the customer during the project which could include the site survey, solar and battery installation, inspections, follow up visits, etc;
  • Meet with members of the operations team daily for progress checks to ensure all information that is being relayed back to the customer in a timely manner;
  • Interact with finance and field team to ensure prompt billing and collections as well client satisfaction and operational excellence;
  • Assist with the development of project documentation prior to and post installation;
  • Assist with the continuous improvement process and ensure quality project documentation;
  • Assist with project closeout and Internal work product, along with the handoff to the Service team at the close of a project;
  • Track project issues and drive issue resolution with customers and internal team members;
  • Assisting other Renu business functions as assigned;
  • Provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction with clients;
  • Manage time and schedule to ensure the best efficiency to provide the best customer experience and support to the Operations team.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry (solar experience is a plus, but NOT required).
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of client personnel, 3rd party contractors, roof-top crews, and electrical crews
  • Ability to negotiate while maintaining good relationships with sub-contractors, clients, on schedule, pricing, change controls, and requirements
  • Construction and Project Management Experience.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word) and accounting/estimating software. Able to work well as a team player.
Physical Requirements
  • The project manager will often be expected to meet clients, project team members, and 3rd parties at construction sites, which require all of the following:
    • Ability to walk and stand for periods of up to 2 hours
    • Ability to climb and descend ladders and/or scaffolds
    • Ability to carry up to 40lbs of equipment
    • Ability to work outdoors, enduring both summer and winter temperatures
    • Ability to work multiple days in a row in outdoor settings as described above
