The Global Safety & Security team protects the people, brand, and assets of Salesforce across the globe. To achieve this mission, we are seeking a technically competent, hard-working, and high energy safety professional who is interested in doing things differently in order to develop new and innovative programs that speak to our diverse employee population. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of health and safety principles in Ireland & experience of working within a large organization.

You will primarily serve Salesforce business activities in Ireland. This role will be office based from our Dublin office supporting the opening of our brand new Tower. The campus will consist of 3 interconnected buildings coming online throughout the next 2 years, providing a wide array of amenities for employees. These include collaborative and work focused spaces, fully immersive Salesforce lobbies with LED screens, 2 Ohana Floors, roof terraces, barista bars, an exhibition kitchen, an auditorium, as well as multi functional conference facilities. 

You will report to the UKI EMEA North Regional Health and Safety Manager and will create, expand and implement the local programs in the new Salesforce Tower Dublin campus. You will occasionally help support other countries within the EMEA region & Globally as needed. You will take part in an on-call rotation to handle the response to health & safety incidents and will require to travel occasionally; primarily in Europe.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promote health and safety with enthusiasm to the employee population through in-person training, meetings, and engagement events.

  • Work with EMEA H&S team to support the development of global & regional health and safety programs that drive employee engagement

  • Be in charge of the performance of the health and safety programs by measuring results and reporting to partners, safety committees & leaders in Ireland.

  • Support the various internal & external partners on the opening and operation of the new Dublin campus.

  • Develop safety standards and guidelines for the opening of the Dublin campus, including our Ohana floors.

  • Further develop safety standards and processes with a focus on Contractor Management, Real Estate & Event Safety management.

  • Lead the Emergency Response program that provides First Aid, CPR & AED certification and incident response training to employees.

  • Conduct compliance walkthroughs with partners to verify ongoing compliance with internal health & safety standards and local / regional regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in the investigation, follow up, and root-cause analysis of significant safety incidents.

Professional experience/skills required:

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • Multi-disciplinary backgrounds welcomed (e.g. Construction Management, Real Estate, Event management, Pharma, Retail and Emergency Response Team Program management)

  • Effective, engaging and sincere personal communication skills

  • Good foundation of health and safety principles in Ireland, (preferably 5+ years of experience)

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs

  • Proven experience of working with local authority regulators and partners

  • History of a tight-knit collaboration with key partners, working well within a team environment with dynamic professionals from
