About the role
Within the EMEA Finance and in the Tax function, you are responsible for:
- French Corporate* taxes analysis and positions for France as preparer and, ideally, the rest of the perimeter as a first reviewer
- Assist with tax reporting and tax accounting, both local GAAPs and IFRS);
- Assisting with group’s tax projects (reorganization, new business, Pilar 2, etc.) – implementation of tax reforms and GRI
*please note that Corporate taxes do not refer only to corporate income tax but as well all French taxes that are due by the French companies of the group
The main tasks related to this function are:
- Analyze and document main tax position of French companies, during the whole cycle for accounts and tax
- Take part to tax analysis for Group’s projects (reorganizations, Pilar 2, acquisitions, new structuring of products, etc.)
- Participate in quarterly financial reporting for tax, P&L tax computation and tax proof (STAX)
- Implement actions to improve data quality for tax
- Participate in the establishment of tax positions and tax forms of the tax returns (accounting part fulfilled by reporting team).
- Assist with preparing answers to external auditors’ tax questions and tax inspectors (when tax audits are at stake)
- Participate in tax review, tax documentation and processes, determination of tax results, VAT and pro rata calculation, tax rationalization, tax memo, annual reconciliation, corporate taxes and other French local taxes.
- Participate to Tax inspections - administrative management/ data collection / answer to some questions, follow up of tax impacts.
- Contribute French Department of Research survey regarding research tax credit expenses.
You will be directly reporting to the EMEA head of tax or to Group tax depending on the projects/tasks involved.
- With at least 5 years' experience, ideally in a similar position (insurance companies’ corporate taxes, tax accounting, international tax skills, etc.), you have a good knowledge of accounting and are comfortable working with figures in both IFRS and statutory standards.
- Corporate income tax and other taxes
- International tax advisory and transfer pricing skills/appetite
- Strong organizational skills, rigor, communication, team spirit and a confirmed appetite for change management within a financial structure.
- Inclusive and collaborative way of working (transversal coordination or management)
