Job Summary:
Licensed clinical psychologist (100%, full time appointment) in pediatric-onset and congenital heart disease. Primary Appointment is in the Section of Cardiology with a secondary appointment the Department of Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evidence-based consultation, assessment, and individual/family intervention for patients followed by the Heart Institute.
- Consultation with medical team in outpatient cardiology clinic and inpatient cardiac intensive care and progressive care units.
- Pre-surgical psychology evaluations and post-surgical follow-up.
- Group interventions for patients/families.
- Family meetings with care team and medical team care conferences
- Developing, enhancing, and contributing to existing clinical and research programs for cardiology populations.
- Participating in formal training programs for psychological externs, interns, and post-doctoral fellows.
- Maintaining an active commitment to providing care for individuals from diverse backgrounds and following families across the continuity of cardiology care at Children’s Hospital Colorado Anschutz medical campus and its network of care and outreach sites.
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.
