About the Opportunity

As a Cloud Platform & DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Cloud Platform & DevOps processes and tools. You will lead and develop a team of Cloud DevOps professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of our software solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, develop, and manage the Cloud Platform & DevOps team, ensuring their growth aligns with our business needs.
  • Build out roadmaps and requirements for business and engineering initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Establish engineering processes and define our engineering standards, ensuring high-quality and efficient software delivery.
  • Solve issues and provide creative solutions to address technical challenges and improve system performance.
  • Actively staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices.
  • Strategize and implement approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and quality assurance.
  • Oversee the use of public/private cloud and virtualization technologies, ensuring optimal utilization and scalability.
  • Monitor progress and report on the status of DevOps initiatives, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Define and manage the roadmap for the implementation of DevOps in an established operation, driving continuous improvement.
  • Work within a structured environment, applying structured methods, approaches, and modern development tools.
  • Design and implement Continuous Delivery and DevOps solutions/concepts to lead an effective support operation for the company.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Experience in technical architecture, including the design and delivery of IT systems for various clients.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to lead and deliver projects ontime and within budget.
  • Prior experience leading a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Extensive experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Terraform etc.
  • Proficiency in automated build, delivery, and release of software, with a strong understanding of associated approaches and tooling.
  • Proven experience managing DevOps teams, including progress monitoring and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Willingness to take on various responsibilities and wear multiple hats, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong personal accountability and a commitment to driving positive change within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Track record of supporting 10+ code releases per month, ensuring seamless software delivery.
  • The role requires hands-on experience in Hosting and cloud technologies, specially those offered by Amazon Web Services such as: Lambda, Step Functions, EKS, Global Accelerator and EC2.
  • Prior experience in Hosting and/or the domain industry is valued.

The base salary range for this position is $153,500 - $170,500 USD for US residents OR $131,600 - $146,200 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may
