Description

Job Purpose: Under the general direction of the Chief Operations Officer (COO) the Title VI Manager oversees and manages the Title VI Elder Nutrition Programs for both Sonoma and Mendocino County natives, which provides hot meals 5 days per week, or cold, if kitchen is not available, meeting nutritional guidelines and providing social service support and coordinated care to Native elders and qualified/eligible family members (caretakers, etc.) within these service areas. The Title VI Manager works closely with SCIHP Dietitians/Nutritionists to assure that menus/delivery items are appropriate and meet program requirements and that all reports and submission are completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A.A./A.S. or relevant license/certification in Community Health, Public Health, or Nutrition/Food Science, or Education field preferred.
  • SERV Safe Manager certification preferred (or required within 3 months of start date).  Registered Dietitian preferred.
  • Two (2) years of relevant supervisory or management experience, preferred.
  • Experience with the methods, procedures, and equipment involved in large scale food preparation.
  • Experience with health and safety hazards in institutional/large-scale food preparation and the necessary safety precautions.
  • Experience with Invoicing, bookkeeping, and basic Grant Reporting.
  • Some knowledge of the basic principles and practices of Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Science.
  • Must maintain a valid, unrestricted California Driver’s license and ability to be insurable under SCIHP’s automobile insurance and be able to meet insurance requirements regarding driver record to utilize GSA vehicles.
  • Possess current CPR certification.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
  • Must show proof of completed COVID 19 vaccinations and booster. Plus annual flu vaccination.
