How would you like to join us on this journey?</p><p>This is a <strong>hybrid</strong> role, based in Barcelona. Happy Scribe is office-first, remote-friendly. In other words, we aim to spend most of our time collaborating in person.</p><p></p><h2><strong>What you will do… </strong></h2><p>We’re expanding our engineering team and are looking for a talented engineer who has a strong focus on <strong>frontend</strong> development. Our team is composed of full-stack product engineers with the ability to take entire features from concept to completion, and we collaborate closely across projects. While we all work across the stack, we’re on the lookout for someone with a special passion for the frontend to help us build beautiful, seamless user experiences.</p><p>• <strong>Where You’ll Shine</strong>: You’ll play a major role in our editors, especially in crafting complex, user-facing interactions. This means you’ll work closely with designers, bringing a keen eye for frontend detail and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences. </p><p></p><h2><strong>What you will bring…</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Full-stack engineering experience, with a strong frontend focus.</p></li><li><p>Expertise in <strong>Javascript</strong>, <strong>React</strong> and user-interactive designs.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>Ruby on Rails + Hotwire</strong> or a willingness to learn and thrive in our stack.</p></li><li><p>Experience working closely with designers to bring complex user experiences to life.</p></li><li><p>You're <em>product</em> focused. You want to listen to customers, and build the product that will solve their needs.</p></li><li><p>You care about the business implications of anything you build. You don't go after the shiny stuff, but see it as a balance of craft, speed, and the bottom line.</p></li><li><p>You love steep learning curves, and are not afraid to learn about subjects that are outside of the comfort zone.</p></li><li><p>You are excited about <a href="https://www.notion.so/Engineering-Principles-3f2c7f983d374392ae22d734066dbe04" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">our engineering principles</a>.
