Job Summary:

Starting Hourly Rate: $27.57 - $36.57 (based on certifications)

We are seeking a skilled mechanic with journeyman to master-level expertise to join our team. This role involves the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles and equipment powered by diesel, gasoline, or alternative fuels. Responsibilities also include servicing solid waste and emergency response apparatus.


The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently or collaboratively with a team. Oversight, guidance, and performance evaluations are provided by a Lead Mechanic, Supervisor, or Manager.

Starting Hourly Rate: $27.57 - $36.57 (based on certifications)We are thrilled to offer the following enhanced incentives for qualified candidates joining our team between November 25th, 2025 - January 31st, 2026: To be eligible for the sign on bonus and incentives - applicant must possess: 

• 3+ years of heavy truck experience 
• Commitment to a two-year employment requirement 
• $3,000 Sign-on Bonus – FTT3 - T3 Drive Train; T6 Electrical/Electronic Systems; T7 Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) 
• $5,000 Sign-on Bonus - FTT5 - ASE Master Medium-Heavy Truck and FAT EVT Level I (F1 Maintenance, Inspection, and Testing of Fire Apparatus; F2 Design & Performance Standards of Fire Apparatus) 
• $7,500 Sign-on Bonus - FTT7 - ASE Master Medium-Heavy Truck and FAT EVT Level III (Master) (F5 Aerial Fire Apparatus; F6 Allison Automatic Transmissions; T1 Gasoline Engines) 
• Relocation Reimbursement: Receive up to $3,000 in reimbursement for relocation expenses. (Must be relocating from outside the state of Florida) 
• Annual Tool Allowance Stipend: Do you have your own tools - GREAT! An annual tool allowance stipend will be provided to Fleet Technician II in the amount of $1,500 annually, after completion of probation period (6 months).

• Basic and complex heavy-duty fluid and air brake diagnosis and repair, including component removal and replacement
• Basic and complex external and internal engine and transmission diagnosis, including component removal and replacement
• Basic and complex heavy equipment suspension diagnosis and repair, including component removal and replacement
• Basic and complex emission system diagnosis and repair, including component removal and replacement
• Frequent use of diagnostic software
• Fabrication skills, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), arc, and gas welding
• Participate in on-call rotation as necessary
• Respond to road calls
