Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.


Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant, Sales position is based at the Leonard & Camper City Mobile, AL, with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for providing essential administrative support to the Sales department, including assisting with sales-related tasks, managing calendars and correspondence, analyzing sales data, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct reports. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists sales representatives with administrative tasks, including preparing sales documents, processing orders, and coordinating shipments and deliveries.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and provide product information, pricing details, and order status updates in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains customer databases and records, updating contact information, sales activities, and correspondence for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Manages calendars and schedules for sales team members, coordinating appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Schedules and organize sales events, conferences, and promotional activities, ensuring all logistical details are addressed and communicated effectively.
  • Drafts and proofreads sales-related correspondence, emails, and presentations, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professionalism in all communications.
  • Serves as a liaison between sales representatives, customers, and internal departments, facilitating communication and resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Compiles sales data and generate reports on key performance metrics, such as sales volumes, revenue trends, and customer feedback, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Analyzes sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement or growth, providing insights and recommendations to sales managers and executives.
  • Organizes and maintain sales files, records, and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with special projects and initiatives as assigned by sales managers or department leaders, contributing to the overall success of the Sales department.

Competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities):

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and external partners.


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a sales or customer service environment.
