About the role

As a Warehouse Supervisor, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall activities in the warehouse including monitoring the performance of the 3PL conformance to the company’s KPIs.  The Supervisor will use critical thinking and active listening skills to ensure there is a clear alignment between the selected third-party vendor, employees on site and headquarters.  The successful candidate will be the on-site escalation point to address issues including but not limited to receiving, inventory management, vendor relations and EWM and system modules. 

 

  • Manage third-party vendor’s conformance to company’s KPIs and performance gaps, including overall governance as well as the implementation of action and/or improvement plans
  • Oversee the activities for the warehouse and address/escalate any issues:  receiving, inventory management, shipping and kitting processes (activities will be performed by the third-party vendor)
  • Recommend and implement warehouse processes to ensure an adequate operations of the warehouse.  
  • Contribute to company’s financial success and customer satisfaction by ensuring flawless and timely distribution activities for parts operations
  • Act as the on-site escalation point between third-party vendor, distribution, vendor and customer facing teams
  • Support the management of the contract agreement with the selected third-party vendor responsible for warehousing operations
  • Manage the roll-out of the newly adopted S/4 HANA EWM module for the new warehouse. 
  • Support and manage operational policies and procedures.
  • Plan, organize, or manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
  • Ensure a clear alignment between the selected third-party vendor, employees on site and headquarters (located near Montreal, Canada)
  • Support the customs and transportation teams with on-site activities and warehouse-related supplier discussions
  • Conduct investigations in SAP as needed and take the necessary actions to correct discrepancies as applicable
  • Support warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Here’s what is required to succeed as a Warehouse Supervisor.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisor/management role
  • College degree in logistics management, supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering – OR equivalent work experience is required
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is essential;
  • Have a thorough understanding and experience in supply chain concepts within a distribution network
  • Ability to manage several concurrent projects and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate experience Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel. 
  • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within and between work groups.
  • Ability to read and write English.  Accommodations may be made where available.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Experience in a distribution warehouse in “start-up mode” is a plus.
  • Experience in the aftermarket aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Third Party logistics/warehouse experience is a plus.
