Compensation: $12.00/hr.

Length of Time: Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.

Position Summary

The FSL Graduate Assistant (GA) provides advising and support to one of the governing councils (IFC, CPC, NPHC, or UGC) and its affiliated organizations, as well as Order of Omega. This role contributes to leadership development, risk management, community building, and chapter operations. The GA also plays a vital part in departmental programming, administration, and assessment. Nights and Weekends may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Advisement & Student Support

  • Support students with navigating challenges, promoting self-governance, and leadership development.
  • Attend and support council and chapter meetings and community-wide events.
  • Assist with the advisement of Order of Omega Educational Initiatives
  • Assist with designing and delivering educational programs on topics such as scholarship, risk management, DEI, leadership, and wellness.
  • Facilitate workshops and presentations
  • Serve as a resource on campus policies and national fraternal standards.

Programming & Event Management

  • Support planning and execution of events such as FSL Summit, Hazing Prevention Week, and Greek Week.
  • Develop run-of-shows and assist students with event logistics and reservations via 25Live.
  • Collaborate with students and staff on community-building initiatives.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Lead marketing efforts for FSL events and initiatives, including Instagram and monthly newsletters.
  • Partner with the FSL intern to maintain a cohesive social media presence.
  • Assist in rebranding and archiving content for consistency and visual appeal.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain and update community rosters, officer contact lists, and honor society memberships.
  • Check and manage departmental communications, including emails, Lounge, and social media.
  • Compile data for program evaluation and assessment.
  • Attend FSL staff meetings and maintain communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree Required Preferred

  • Membership in a Greek organization
  • Experience with event planning, group facilitation, or peer advising
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
