Occ Summary

Plan and provide professional nursing care for p atients in accordancewith the medical and nursing plans of care and esta blished policies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families inaccordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North CarolinaBoard of Nursing.


Work Performed

Plan, provid e and document professional nursing care, utilizing thenursing process, in accordance with physician orders and establishedpolicies and procedur es under the supervision of the team leader orcharge nurse.Delegate task s and supervise the activities of other licensed andunlicensed care prov iders.Assist other healthcare personnel in the delivery of patient care. Participate in maintaining the environment of care including equipmentan d material resources. Prioritize work organization and identifyresources available to assist in completing components of care in atimely manner. Participate in own professional development by maintaining requiredcompe tencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriateassistance or educational offerings.Support the development of other staff and formal learners.Participate in the identification of clinical or operational p erformanceimprovement opportunities and assist in performance improvemen tactivities.Perform other related duties incidental to the work describe d herein.
