What is The Role

The Product Finance team is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to take the lead in managing our hosting costs, including both COGS and operating expenses. What You Will Be Doing

• Analyze cloud costs, revenue, and margins, across platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Build models to support growth initiatives and enable strategic contract negotiations with cloud providers.
• Provide analytics and recommendations while serving as a strategic thought partner to Engineering leaders in improving Elastic Cloud contribution margin.
• Lead modeling projects in partnership with the pricing and product management teams, supporting initiatives like new products and features, pricing, and more.
• This role focuses on cloud hosting, but the team offers opportunities to work on diverse and impactful projects. The right person will be eager to support teammates when needed and contribute to a collaborative environment. You'll also help develop a culture of collaboration by mentoring and empowering junior team members.

What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in FP&A or a similar finance business partner role, preferably in a SaaS company. Outstanding modeling and analytical skills are required. Experience with cloud cost management is a significant plus but not required.

Strong presentation skills with the ability to distill sophisticated financial data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for executive leadership are required. Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and communicate across functions and regions are key to success! A passion for learning more about Elastic’s products and how they fit into the larger tech industry is crucial, as you’ll be encouraged to stay engaged with our evolving business landscape and contribute fresh insights to drive our growth.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
