Team Overview and Job responsibilities
We are looking for a Site HSE Manager for the Business Unit Project - PPL (Powerlink, part of Prysmian Group) who will report to the Project HSE Senior Manager and will be based in Milan; he/she will be travelling within our main Italian sites with the following main responsibilities:
- To coordinate and supervise construction HSE activities within Italian projects, related to onshore and offshore installation, ensuring compliance with Prysmian HSE MS, Client and contractual requirements.
- To coordinate Prysmian and subcontractors’ site activities, ensuring compliance with PSC and Italian regulatory framework requirements, related to Health, Safety and Environment.
- To support the development and implementation of method statement, risk assessments, training, KPI collection and improvement initiatives, related to Italian Projects.
Who are we looking for?
The candidate will need to:
- To ensure that all HSE activities at construction site(s) are carried on in accordance with the Italian applicable laws and regulations, client requirements and Prysmian HSE MS related to Health, Safety and Environment
- To assist project HSE Managers in Risk Management process (i.e. Design and Detailed HAZID)
- To facilitate accidents/incidents investigation and to carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans at site level
- To conduct HSE audits both internal and external on subcontractors involved in project activities (prequalification and project phases)
- To develop and perform project safety training / induction and contribute to the implementation at site level of Prysmian safety behavioral initiatives, also including suppliers and subcontractors
- To monitor, evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of the HSE Plans (e.g. POS / DUVRI) and propose improvement actions.
- To lead the planning and collection of HSE KPI for Italian Projects
- To ensure the proper waste management, including segregation, collection, and reporting
Key requirements:
- Having the purpose of reinforcing the HSE team, we are open to evaluate profiles with different seniority, having at least 5 years of Site HSE Management experience, within Italian EPCI work environment, including Onshore and Offshore Construction and Installation activities and vessel operation.
- Technical Degree (engineering).
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 series standard; Be qualified as lead auditor will be a plus.
- Strong leadership, team player. People management/influencing and organizational skills.
- High PC literacy.
- Proficient in English, written and spoken; other languages will be a plus.
- Used to work in international and multicultural environment
- Familiar with HAZID methodology
- Familiarity with the International Maritime Organization ISM Code (International Safety Management Code) will be a plus
