Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Quality Specialist to support the Strategic Deterrence Systems team in Layton, UT!

This position will provide support to shop, program, and field sites as needed. Duties will include inspection activity, planning review, First Article Inspections, Early Quality Involvement of program requirements review and implementation through production and deployment. As a Quality Specialist, you will support the Quality Management System with surveillance activity, audit support, corrective actions, process improvements, and nonconformance processing.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists in review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes and services.

• Maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures.

• Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems.

• Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development.

• Supports quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements.

• Assists with hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements.

• Documents audit results in standard formats.

• Compiles data and provides recommendations for material review disposition.

• Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• More than 1 year of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

• More than 1 year of experience working with QMS (Quality Management System)

• More than 1 year of collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with J-STD-001

• Certification and/or experience with IPC-610, IPC-620

• Experience working with regulatory agencies (DCMA, FAA, and/or Military)

• Experience in Nonconformance Processing

• Experience First Article Inspections (i.e. AS9102)

• Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

Summary Pay Range: USD 72,250 - 97,750
