Software Engineering & Development (multiple positions)(State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will be responsible for application design and development. Will work as a hands-on developer leading a team of developers in multiple areas supporting the businesses activities. Specific duties of the position include: provide technology leadership across multiple large scale business applications in partnership with senior architects and product managers; continuously improve the Application Development and support processes; identify and complete opportunities for automation; improve internal development and support processes; meet or exceed commitments to customers; foster a service attitude; partner with technology senior colleagues to ensure reliable, efficient daily operating capabilities; ensure application development initiatives are well managed and deliver on expectations (i.e., functionality, timeliness, and cost); promote agile application development where appropriate; and cultivate technical talent to deliver results and support future growth. Hybrid telecommuting from within the U.S. permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field, plus 5 years of hands-on technology development in a large-scale, high-performance application development environment. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field, plus 3 years of hands-on technology development in a large-scale, high-performance application development environment. 

Must have: demonstrated solid ability in Java/J2EE; demonstrated experience effectively using cloud computing, Tomcat, or Red Hat Linux; demonstrated solid ability with web services, and JMS; demonstrated solid ability with Oracle, PL/SQL, stored procedures, or, Exadata; demonstrated solid ability with UI frameworks, such as React JS, GWT; and demonstrated strong level of competence in results focus, business acumen and curiosity, technology level influence and teamwork. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:

$172,744 - $180,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
