Our Organization

The Cloud Platform team is responsible for delivering HashiCorp’s Cloud Platform (HCP) and enabling our users to reliably access and depend on HashiCorp’s SaaS products. We provide common software and services for HashiCorp’s R&D teams to leverage so they may build and operate their products across multiple clouds in a consistent manner.

We are seeking a highly motivated engineering leader to head the Cloud Platform Accounts team and manage HashiCorp’s Cloud Platform’s identity and billing systems.   As the Director of Cloud Platform Accounts you will lead the Identity and Billing engineering teams as our organization continues to develop a secure, scalable and highly available global SaaS platform. 

As part of our team, you’ll have influence throughout the business collaborating with engineering, product, design, sales, finance, and marketing stakeholders to define and execute against a long term roadmap that accelerates HashiCorp’s customers' transition to cloud.

In this role you can expect to…

• Inspire and lead a team of globally distributed, remote engineers, encouraging a culture of excellence and creativity, and align day-to-day execution with R&D goals and objectives.

• Partner closely with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives for global billing and identity

• Develop and mature a high-performing engineering team through coaching, mentoring, hiring, and technical guidance

• Champion agility and continuous improvement throughout your teams, establishing and improving SLOs to further the platform’s high-assurance goals

• Partner with technical program managers to report on critical initiatives

You may be a good fit for our team if you have…

• 15+ years of combined software development & management experience

• 10+ years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience

• 5+ years experience leading software organizations with over 25+ people or equivalent experience

• Strong background in authentication, authorization, and/or identity areas

• Previous experience developing and managing billing systems

• Passionate about agility and continuous improvement, modeling behaviors that will inspire and motivate your teams

• A track record of delivery; shipping high-quality product features on schedule

• Knowledge and experience developing and managing high scale, highly available (99.99+) cloud services

• Excellent communication skills, experienced in working with executives.
