Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal / Sr. Principal DevSecOps Engineer – 14961. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah, and will support the Sentinel program.
Provide automation configuration with tools like Ansible to automate build and configuration processes. Develop Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) process and tools, deployment strategies. Build and deploy containers and containerization technologies. Enable and lead Agile management and collaboration, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.Learn new technologies and tools to enable rapid and secure, scalable capability. Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Principal DevSecOps Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Sr. Principal DevSecOps Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc)
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or technical field
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or other cloud orchestration tools and technologies
Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools, i.e., Jenkins
Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others
Familiarity with branching strategies, gated commits, source-controlled management, etc.
Familiarity with the principle of DevSecOps
Atlassian JIRA or other defect tracking tool experience
Atlassian Confluence, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus repository experience
Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, PCLint, etc.
Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts)
