Job Title: Claims Technical Support Agent Department: Claims Competition: 86778 Internal/External: Internal/External Employment Type: Full Time Permanent Location: NB, NS, ONT- Canada Remote Salary: Comprehensive Compensation Reports To: Team Leader    

 

The Opportunity

Applications are being accepted for a full time permanent Claims Technical Support Agent position.  In this role you will be responsible for sorting and indexing scanned claims received by Medavie Blue Cross, as well as other duties assigned by your Team Leader.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Search MAAX and/or POS for a valid ID and Policy number;

  • Key ID and Policy numbers in the indexing fields;

  • Place indexing markup icons;

  • Identify the claims type and  the region to be indexed;

  • Follow business processes for the awaiting follow up queue, the re-scan requests and the recycle requests;

  • Cross-training of Dental claims and Dental Predeterminations;

  • Complete any duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.

  • Minimum six months work experience in an office and customer service environment.

  • Experience working with data entry, knowledge of claims eligibility systems, and medical terminology is considered an asset

  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
