About The Role 

Our Debt Settlement Team Lead plays a strategic and critical role in the success of our clients becoming free of debt. Our Settlements Department works directly with creditors, agencies and law offices to resolve delinquent accounts in order to negotiate the best possible savings for each client. The Team Lead will work collaboratively with the Department Manager with the daily operations of the department that includes the development, analysis and implementation of processes, staffing and scheduling, training and coaching and rewards & recognition initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for ensuring team members are working according to established procedures and in line with department priorities
  • Responsible for keeping team members on track in order to consistently achieve daily and monthly team metrics
  • Act as the primary point of contact for team members regarding policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Utilize and share strategies, tools, resources, positive/constructive feedback, and experience to ensure team members are continually improving and developing
  • Provide feedback regarding processes and procedures, and offer solutions to improve area operations, workforce efficiency, and service to internal stakeholders
  • Creates and maintains a professional, open, and engaged work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level and comfortable approaching management with any issues
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to help manage daily team analytics and metrics
  • Responsible for maintaining a queue of client accounts and consistently achieving daily and monthly personal metrics
  • Review previous day settlements and identify coaching opportunities for team members

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Three months within the Settlements Department
  • No PIPs or second/final written warnings within the last six months
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact within all levels or the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders (i.e., management, leadership, creditors, etc.)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while obtaining high attention to detail and accuracy in all work product and deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to be persuasive, strategic, analytical, and make sound decisions under pressure
  • A true passion for helping people with an outstanding focus on the client’s needs
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Fosters a team environment through effective mentorship & leadership

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this positionThe actual base salary offered will depend on numerous factors including the individual’s skills, experience, performance, and the location where work is performed. Base salary may also be only one component of the offered competitive total rewards for this position that may also include commission, bonus, health care benefits, or other incentives.
