Specific Responsibilities
The Automation Foreman is a supervisory position that will be responsible for the supervision of company Automation Techs and associated contract staff. Additional duties would include oversite and advising on complex programming of PLCs, installation, and integration of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and the continuing operations of defined asset area. Evaluate problems where automation may assist production operations and implement innovative technology for automation enhancements. The automation formation will a champion for Apache safety policies and procedures.
Maximize production and minimization of downtime by utilizing appropriate automation equipment and strategies.

Recognize areas where automation equipment will provide cost effective solutions.

Work with operations staff on solutions to ensure continuity of service.
Demonstrate effective supervision of for all aspects of work.

Utilize effective communications, both verbal and written, with staff.

Open to recommendations from all areas including operations, support, and external resources.

Foster atmosphere where open discussions are part of daily activities.

Qualifications & Experience
Technical competence of automation processes and equipment
- Familiar with all aspects of automation equipment and appropriate utilization of the devices. This would include but is not limited to the following:
- Programmable Logic Controllers
- Logic programming and implementation
- End device implementation and utilization
- Innovative technology
- Current on industry trends
- Determinations on innovative technology on best fit for current operations
- Familiar with SCADA systems and utilization
