Marketing Operations Coordinator (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA)

Overview:

The Marketing Operations Coordinator assists in the day-to-day operations of our marketing department and contributes to the overall success of our campaigns and events. The Marketing Operations Coordinator is a valuable asset to our marketing team, providing crucial support in the execution and coordination of our marketing initiatives.

The impact you'll make:

  • Campaign and event coordination: They assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing events with supporting campaigns across different channels, such as email marketing, social media, advertising, and content marketing.
  • Data management and analysis: They manage marketing data and utilize various tools to collect, organize, and analyze data for reporting and decision-making purposes. This includes tracking performance, conducting market research, and providing insights to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Marketing technology management: They handle marketing software and tools, such as project management software like Asana and Jira. They ensure these tools are properly configured, integrated, and maintained to support marketing operations efficiently.
  • Process improvement: They identify areas for process improvement within the marketing department and support the implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. This may involve streamlining workflows, creating standardized procedures, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Collaboration and communication: They work closely with various teams within the organization, such as sales, product management, and creative teams, to align marketing activities and ensure effective communication. They may also coordinate with external vendors or agencies for marketing initiatives. They document meeting proceedings, compile comprehensive summaries and identify key initiatives.
  • Budget tracking: They assist in monitoring marketing budgets, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records related to marketing activities. They ensure that marketing initiatives are executed within budgetary constraints and provide regular reports on spending.
  • Project management: They manage marketing projects, timelines, and deliverables. They coordinate cross-functional teams, set project milestones, and ensure timely completion of marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting and performance measurement: They develop and maintain marketing performance dashboards and reports, providing insights into key metrics and campaign effectiveness. They may also contribute to marketing analytics, ROI analysis, and post-campaign / event evaluation. 
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you've accomplished:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; or relevant working experience of at least 4 years.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing operations or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, such as Jira and Asana.

The base pay range for this position is $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
