The audio systems currently lack analysis capability, but have a untapped potential for detection and classification. We want to investigate adding sound identification and then acting upon that information. The speakers have an integrated microphone that is only used for communicating with users and is currently not used for information processing. They also have a relatively powerful microprocessor that has a framework for extending functionality. It is however unclear if AI trained classification models can run on the device without affecting core functionality.</p><p></p><p>We think that there are two aspects that are interesting to explore:</p><h2></h2><p>Run an audio classification model on an audio device and explore model performance limitations on a device versus running it on a separate server. Investigate how audio classification results can be presented and integrated into large video and audio management systems.</p><p>You are free to pitch your own idea around the subject as well.
