About the role

This position is open to #anywhere in the United States, but will work a #hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office.  

You will provide advanced business intelligence insights and retail analytics to drive strategic decision-making and support business initiatives. 

You will be a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, leveraging analytical capabilities and retail intelligence tools to address critical business questions, develop category-focused solutions, and improve processes. A key aspect of the role involves building solid client relationships, delivering client-facing presentations, and leading thought leadership efforts for stakeholders.

  • Perform advanced data analysis using various tools and platforms, including Power BI, Circana, Nielsen, and others, to develop insights that address business strategies and objectives.
  • Design, build, and maintain comprehensive dashboards, reports, and scorecards in Power BI, presenting key KPIs and findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide tailored category-centric selling stories and develop sales presentations using syndicated, panel, basket, and shopper data.
  • Analyze and ensure data accuracy while staying current with data visualization trends and theories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver full-spectrum category management solutions, including leading category reviews and offering actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain regular communication with assigned clients, ensuring alignment on KPIs, performance metrics, and innovative approaches.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations during client and sales calls, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Support leadership with ad hoc analysis to address specific in-store challenges, improve systems, and lead process enhancements.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and share process improvements with team members. 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail intelligence, category management, or related fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI (including DAX), Access, and other relevant platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with experience interfacing with diverse teams and executives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Category Management (or equivalent).
  • Experience with various data sources, including POS data, retail survey data, and shopper insights platforms.
