JOB TITLE: Assistant Director of Community Based Family Services
LOCATION: Wilmington, NC- Hybrid
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited program with a Master’s degree in a human services or related field and two years of progressive substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of North Carolina licensure as one of the following: LPA, LCMHC, LCSW, or equivalent
- One or more years of supervision experience in mental health services or social services organization
JOB POSTING:
- Direct, oversee, and manage aspects of Community Based Family Services and on-going program components reporting to Program Director related to services, progress, issues, updates and expectations of the program.
- Increase and maintain Community Based Family Services referrals, as well as build community awareness of the program by sustaining positive, active contacts with provider agencies, human services programs, educational organizations, Department of Social Services, the judicial system and statewide institutions.
- Collaborate with Program Director and Regional Director of Community Based Family Services in the evaluation of program effectiveness to determine the need for program modification and development
- Provide consultation and problem solving, ensuring quality control, and ensuring the agency and program’s policies, procedures, and all relevant laws are followed
- Provide clinical supervision for associate level therapists to ensure support and quality of clinical service delivery
- Participate in a variety of personnel functions in hiring and promoting staff as well as discipline and dismissal
- Assist with the management and oversight of intern and volunteer positions
- Conduct community educational workshops on a regular basis to inform community sectors and neighboring counties about Community Based Family Services, as well as expand programs through referrals
- Maintain inter-agency relationships with Coastal Horizons staff as well as inter-agency referral sources to ensure a steady stream of referrals
- Attend meetings on a regular basis to establish, extend, and support community relationships
- Oversee training and supervision of Community Based Family Services personnel and staff development.
- Complete advanced levels of certification for a fidelity-based model
- Manage and oversee supervision of and compliance with developed guidelines for intern and volunteer positions.
- Ensure timely completion of required documentation and compliance with Managed Care Organizations and Medicaid guidelines.
