What’s the role?
You’ll play a key role in helping Westpac manage conduct risk across our Consumer Division, ensuring we continue to put customers at the centre of how we operate. Working as part of the Conduct & Business Monitoring Insights team, you’ll use data, insights and practical risk management approaches to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls and support better customer outcomes.
You’ll work closely with business, risk, compliance, technology and change teams to provide trusted advice, improve monitoring and reporting, and help embed effective risk practices into everyday decision-making. You’ll also lead initiatives that improve the way conduct risks are monitored, investigated and reported, including the use of automation and digital solutions to drive better outcomes.
This is a permanent full-time role that can be based in Melbourne or Sydney with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
What do I need?
We’re looking for a curious and proactive risk professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data and partnering with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
- Experience working in risk management, non-financial risk, conduct risk, compliance or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into practical actions.
- Experience improving processes, controls, reporting or monitoring frameworks, including automation opportunities.
- Confidence engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and providing clear, practical advice.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, navigate change and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
