CDL Driver- Commercial Paving

Capital is seeking a skilled and safety-focused CDL driver to support our asphalt paving and milling operations. This role involves operating and hauling a variety of equipment and materials.  The ideal candidate will have experience with service trucks, water trucks, fuel trucks, and heavy haul lowboy trailers and understand the demands of roadway construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class A CDL truck with a lowboy or flatbed trailer to haul milling equipment to various job sites.
• Load, secure, and unload heavy machinery safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Coordinate with the milling foreman to ensure timely equipment delivery and pickup.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with crew operations as needed when not driving, including traffic control or light labor.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation laws and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience (construction or paving preferred)
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement best practices.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as required by project schedules.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical.
