General Purpose
The CDL Class A Driver supports YESCO operations by transporting signage, materials, and related equipment to and from job sites. This role ensures the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of loads while representing YESCO’s commitment to professionalism, safety, and customer service. As a part-time, on-call position, scheduling will vary based on project needs and deadlines.

A Day in the Life
As a CDL Class A Driver at YESCO, you will start your shift by reviewing instructions from management, inspecting your truck, and securing your load of signage or related equipment. You’ll spend most of the day driving between YESCO facilities, fabrication shops, and customer job sites, ensuring deliveries arrive safely and on schedule. Some trips may require operating both automatic and manual transmission trucks. While most routes will be local and completed the same day, you may occasionally be asked to travel long distances and stay overnight. At the end of each shift, you’ll complete all required documentation, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and communicate with management about completed deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A trucks with both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Transport signage, materials, and equipment to and from job sites and facilities.
• Load, secure, and unload materials using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs.
• Follow all DOT, state, and company safety regulations and policies.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Maintain professionalism and represent YESCO positively at all customer sites.
• Assist with basic equipment checks, fueling, and minor adjustments when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management, as needed to meet business needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission Class A trucks.
• Previous commercial driving experience required, preferably in construction or related industries.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift, secure, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to occasionally travel long distances and stay overnight when required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and perform a variety of tasks as needed.
• Physical ability to climb in and out of trucks, bend, kneel, and secure heavy loads.
• Must be able to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor job sites, fabrication yards, and all-weather conditions.
