About the role

CNC Co-Op Responsibilities

  • Move/Load materials, set-up and produce sawn/machined parts on various CNC equipment (Haas, Johnford, Mazak, Tsune, etc).
  • Inspect parts to engineering specification and maintain quality records according to work instructions.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in assigned work areas.
  • Load programs as needed and adjust zero shift or references, set tool registers, and offsets.
  • Notify supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunction; Troubleshoot malfunctions as needed and report the need for repairs.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures, including abiding by all company and government required safety regulations and requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, such as assembly and other material handling related assignments.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and team oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills required.
  • Working Knowledge of basic Math, and the Ability to use Measuring Tools.
  • Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints
  • Physical Dexterity
  • Mechanical Skills
Education
  • Enrolled in High School Diploma; Trade School Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year prior machining and/or manufacturing experience.
