Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organization

• Organize, direct, and grow the Student Ownership of Behavior Framework, including positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS), restorative practices, and trauma-informed practices to positively impact campus culture
• Design and deliver professional development for district and school personnel, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral health initiatives, and collaborate with various stakeholders to promote a positive school climate
• Plan, develop, and implement behavioral health programs and initiatives under the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to ensure alignment with the Student Ownership of Behavior Framework
• Integrate Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Practices, and Trauma-Informed Care into school programs
• Provide teachers, campus leaders, district staff/leaders, and CBCs with ongoing professional development to enhance staff skills and expertise in implementing behavioral health strategies
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral health programs by analyzing data, making data-driven recommendations for improvement, and conducting regular assessments to ensure they meet the needs of students and staff
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to promote a positive school climate, provide guidance on behavioral health issues, and work with community partners to enhance resources and services for students
• Develop, monitor, and manage a district-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) campus walk program and process to ensure consistent implementation and evaluation of PBIS strategies across all schools
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

• Develop monitoring systems for District discipline data, campus PBIS data, and Behavioral Health & Wellness team support to ensure compliance with District and State and Federal standards
• Support the integration and build understanding and awareness of social emotional learning and the dispositions of learning and behavior into all classroom environments
• Facilitate the capacity building of campus administrators in a trainer of trainers manner to develop their capacity to grow and facilitate knowledge building for teachers
• Build the capacity of district staff to understand and support campuses in best behavior and instructional practices
• Build the capacity of campus and district staff to understand the antecedent of behaviors to better support students' success and love of learning
• Be a liaison between departments to build partnerships in learning best practices for students success
• Support the building of a culture of belonging for all

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities for the Behavioral Health & Wellness team in accordance with the District’s policies and applicable laws
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, guiding, monitoring, and training Behavioral Health & Wellness team employees
• Planning, assigning and directing team meetings
• Ensure the Behavioral Health & Wellness team support data and campus assessments are completed on time with fidelity and continuously improving practices
