Job Overview
The Senior Analyst tackles the most impactful challenges facing Macy's and the retail industry today, by pressure testing the status quo, challenging assumptions, and ultimately driving toward better outcomes through internal alignment. They are responsible for creating executive-level presentations, analyzing data, and strategizing and delivering solutions to internal Macy’s clients to promote growth and address the evolving needs of the business. Senior Analysts have the flexibility to explore various areas within Macy’s, Inc., serving as generalists on a variety of internal projects of strategic importance across the enterprise. They work on project teams of various sizes, leveraging guidance and support from senior managers and direct supervisors, and may also work independently depending on the scope, audience, and deliverable.
What You Will Do

Skills You Will Need

Collaboration: Proficiency in collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop long-term strategies, establish project management frameworks, and address complex challenges collaboratively.
Executive-Level Communication: Strong presentation skills, including the ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations tailored to different audiences.
Communication Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, including basic modeling, with Tableau skills considered a plus. Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills tailored to various audiences and project stakeholders.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment. A self-starter with a curious mindset who stays informed about market changes and new trends. Experience developing holistic strategies through structured, project-based approaches. Capacity to work independently with limited day-to-day guidance.
Mathematical Skills: Strong proficiency in quantitative and analytical approaches, with experience working with financial models and analyzing large data sets considered advantageous.
