About the role

WWC Global is seeking a dynamic, people focused, full-time Human Resources Specialist to join our growing People team. This position has visibility into many different aspects of HR and provides support to functions including but not limited to onboarding, HRIS, compliance (including Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action Plans, and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs regulations), leave and accommodation programs, and recruiting. The incumbent must be proactive -- comfortable working remotely, yet in a highly collaborative, responsive and matrixed team environment. Our People team is entrusted with a great deal of freedom and ability to drive to results. This freedom goes hand in hand with responsibility to be responsive, building credibility with all colleagues and stakeholders.

This position directly supports the Director of People Compliance. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Position description library management.
  • Reference checks for candidates in late-stage recruiting.
  • Applicant tracking system management including job opening tracking and liaising with recruiting team.
  • Leave of absence and reasonable accommodations management.
  • Assist with benefits management and enrollment as needed, alongside the Benefits Manager.
  • HRIS maintenance and auditing.
  • Assist, on a daily basis, in the day to day functioning of HR providing input and suggestions on projects and initiatives, addressing employee questions and concerns, and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Update and manage new hire and employee files. Coordinate record keeping and data accuracy with HRIS department in Home Office. Audit records periodically to ensure quality.
  • Handle day-to-day operations and serve as the first point of contact for employees to address and resolve their requests, concerns and inquiries.
  • Recommend process improvements, identify issues, and make suggestions as appropriate.
  • Organizes own work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Completes special projects by conducting research and developing and organizing information.
  • Manage, track and ensure compliance on all employee information and documentation including new hire required documentation.

Expected salary range: $68,000 - $80,000.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 0-10% / Minimal travel expected: offsites, meetings, training, a conference.
