What would you do as Reconciliation and Analysis (R&A) and Client Invoicing (CI) Head:
Reconciliation and Analysis (R&A) and Client Invoicing (CI) are key risk‑focused functions within Shared Services under Service Delivery.
R&A team is responsible for the full scope of cross discipline reconciliations, reporting, working closely with selected global vendors, collaborating across disciplines for R&A needs and escalation practices to achieve timely resolution of operational exceptions. Client Invoicing team is responsible for working across disciplines for invoice creation, working closely with Relationship Excellence and Global Client Service teams on invoice needs and global vendors delivering timely invoices to clients for various products.
You will lead a multi-functional area across multiple locations or oversees a significant business discipline, function or multiple work groups. Participating in formulating strategy and future direction, she/he has primary responsibility over its execution in an assigned area. This position directs various programs, people and client relations by aligning processes and technology to overall business goals and strategy. This position has multiple Section Managers reporting to them. He/she oversees department operations and budget and ensures success through implementing new strategic objectives in terms of technology, collaboration across business lines, product competitiveness, as well as budget and expense management aligned to business goals. The role requires effectively managing complex issues and/or high-risk items with potential exposure that can significantly impact the areas under management and/or the firm. He/she is a thought leader and subject matter expert whose influence extends across clients, regulators, and third-party vendors. This position requires the ability to lead management and staff across multiple locations to effectively operate as one team in line with the departments and firm’s overall strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Productivity/ Operations Management
- Overseas full scope of cross functional reconciliation products with both internal and external counterparties; risk oversight.
- Ensure the smooth, effective operation of the department including proper product delivery, proper escalation and resolution of high exposure items, maintaining the proper balance of cost, control and client service (3Cs), and maintaining proper standards and controls.
- Operates in a highly global environment, supporting markets internationally. Work presence is distributed across multiple geographies, and third party outsource providers.
Control/Business Planning
- In conjunction with DE, develop, maintain and achieve an integrated Business Plan for the department; focuses on policy implementation and strategy development for assigned area.
- Business plan aligns organizational structure, systems priorities, management reporting, job descriptions, and budget establishment in support of business goals and overall strategy.
People Management
- Develop staff members through appropriate recruiting, training, performance management and succession planning.
- Develop a qualified successor(s) and partner with Human Resources on recruiting, hiring and orientation.
- Ensure that the management team is properly aligned with the division strategy, goals, and objectives and has the information and tools necessary to progress.
