Job Description

What You'll Do

As a project manager in the People Development and Engagement team, you’ll be focused on the creation, planning, and execution of talent development and engagement projects & activities.

This role will be focused primarily on supporting talent development initiatives led by the HDD Engineering team, but may also involve participation in talent development and engagement programs across Operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and execute people development, culture transformation and employee engagement projects, aligned to the overall HDD Engineering people strategy.
  • Identify needs/requirements from project sponsors, key internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Work closely with project sponsors and cross-functional team members to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing of initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established goals & objectives.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome or mitigate project/program risks.
  • Evaluate progress and if necessary, adjust plans to ensure adherence to project/program requirements.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with management and stakeholders, providing timely updates on status and changes.
  • Partner with communications teams to develop comprehensive communication & change management plans.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Create and track appropriate measures to assess effectiveness of activities and programs.

You’ll be working cross-functionally across all HDD BU functions, Global Operations, HR functions, Finance, cross company stakeholders/partners, as well as external suppliers, vendors, and partners.

  • Experienced project manager with at least 5 years of experience in a technology or engineering environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including scope definition, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex and high-impact projects on time and within budget.
  • You’ll have passion, experience, and success in leading talent development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish assignments with minimal supervision, including strong capacity to partner, work horizontally and bring multiple resources together to accomplish shared goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and work with all levels – from individual contributors to senior executives.
  • Exceptional time management, facilitation, analytical & problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Resourceful, independent thinker with a willingness to adopt creative approaches.
  • You build strong partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization.
