Join our team to find a purpose-driven career, an inclusive culture, and robust benefits to support <u>your</u> life while you’re working to help others.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Overview</b></p><p>The Manager, Data Engineer will be responsible for the technical delivery of IT related data projects and leading them toward successful completion while providing technical leadership, experience, rigor, and consistency across the enterprise.</p><p></p><p>This is a hands-on role that requires close collaboration with all levels of Exact Sciences to drive the development of scalable, efficient, and secure data infrastructure that supports business goals and enables data-driven <span>decision-making. </span> This holder of the role will be responsible for the management of solution implementation with the help of service providers and other vendors that are required for integration with external and internal systems.</p><p></p><p>This role requires an experienced and credible practitioner of data engineering, capable of delivering and continuously improving technical delivery capabilities while driving healthy change across the IT function with the continued engagement of their team, key stakeholders and thought leaders.</p><p></p><p>The place of work is Warsaw, Poland.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties</b></p><p>Include, but are not limited to, the following:</p><ul><li>Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project leadership for complex data software development and integration projects.</li><li>Manage a team of skilled data engineers and promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.</li><li>Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data infrastructure.</li><li>Define project scope, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.</li><li>Monitor and report on the progress of data initiatives and their impact on business objectives.</li><li>Develop and enforce best practices for data quality, security, and governance, and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.</li><li>Assess new tools and technologies to improve data systems and support innovation.</li><li>Drive tough decision-making, whilst balancing business goals, technical implications, and timelines.</li><li>Design and implement processes for monitoring and validating data accuracy and integrity.</li><li>Optimize the performance of databases, data lakes, and data warehouses for reliability and scalability.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.</li><li>Work closely with analysts, developers, and testers to ensure functional designs and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to personnel.</li><li>Apply change, risk, and resource management (incl. financial and vendor management).</li><li>Ensure up-to-date knowledge of a variety of software and hardware solutions; multi-vendor environments and hybrid environment of on premise, co-located, and cloud-based services.</li><li>Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.</li><li>Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including, but not limited to the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance, lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the <span>future.   </span></li><li>Ability to work with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.</li><li>Excellent change management and issue resolution skills with the ability to deliver results.</li><li>Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.</li><li>Ability to communicate complex information and concepts succinctly.</li><li>Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence others.</li><li>Exercise strong attention to detail, quality oriented with the ability to see the big picture.</li><li>Ability to establish and/or manage change in a dynamic and growing company.</li><li>Strong customer focus with a track record for driving delivery and operational performance improvements across an organization.</li><li>Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.</li><li>Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.</li><li>Ma
