Title: Assistant Research Biostatistician - Part Time/Temp  

Location: Upper East Side  

Org Unit: Research 

Work Days: Monday-Friday 

Weekly Hours: 10.00 

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $48.08 - $55.00  

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Under direction, provides scientific and statistical support to faculty and research investigators

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists faculty in preparation of IRB proposals.
  • Assists with data development and collection.
  • Analyzes research data using basic and advanced statistical methodologies; interprets results for clinical investigators and prepares reports.
  • Performs short-term and long-term biostatistical consultations with clinical investigators.
  • Assists in database design programming and database management.
  • Assists in the development of research designs.
  • Contributes to teaching biostatistical methodology to medical students, residents, fellows and other staff.
  • Writes methods sections and analysis plans for incorporation into protocols, abstracts, manuscripts and grants.

Education

  • Master's Degree in related field

Experience

Approximately 2 years of related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Critical thinking, prioritization of tasks, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
