Reports to:  Sr. Director, NA Integrated Planning

Location:  Goleta, CA – Hybrid; or Remote

The Role

The Sr. Manager, Demand Planning will be responsible leading and supporting the day to day needs of their assigned demand planning organization, the Sr. Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the overall management and evolution of the Demand Planning Process while playing a key role in the development and implementation of the demand planning strategy as well as the growth and development of the team. The role is responsible for creating, auditing, and adjusting the forecasting process and approach as well as managing and adapting the S&OP process to match the ever-changing needs of the business to ensure all Key Stakeholders across the broader Organization are aligned and informed – including Commercial, Brand, Financial, Planning and Leadership teams. Their teams are responsible for building a data focused demand plan and need to be able to articulate that plan as well as build consensus through strong collaboration, trusted analytics, and industry best practices.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the Demand Planning team and ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage demand plans on a continuous basis and maintain various forecasts that align with the strategies and objectives of the business over a rolling horizon.
  • Provide overall leadership on the Demand Plan that drives the S&OP Planning process. Highly developed analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
  • Excellent influencing, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills: ability to derive and communicate high-level insights from data and successfully drive consensus.
  • Leads key cross functional demand planning collaboration meetings with the commercial partners with a data driven, fact-based approach to communicate key forecast drivers to manage a consensus forecast.
  • Communicate ideas concisely to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to need for financial approval from executives.
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Commercial Teams and Supply Chain to understand the impact of key growth and demand drivers.
  • Manage performance, provide coaching, feedback, and development plans to the Demand Planning Team members.
  • Engages team to examine current practices and encourages creative thinking about how things could be more effective and efficient.
  • Asserts own ideas and persuades others in a clear, confident, and composed manner. Tailors message for the audience and is able to gain support and commitment from others.

Who You Are

  • You are an experienced planning leader with the ability to influence without direct authority and apply an appropriate level of assertiveness.
  • Have a strong analytical mind, with experience in forecasting models, scenario planning, and demand probability signals.
  • Ability to balance statistical and marketplace driven demand priorities, including marketplace assortment and consumer facing launch priorities.
  • Ability to problem solve and get to the crux of the issue by using strong influencing skills and succinct communication.
  • Inspires, motivates, and influences the behavior of others to drive high performance.
  • Concise and impactful presentation skills, both written and oral.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Bachelor’s degree; degree in supply chain management, merchandising or related field preferred.
  • Tableau or similar data management experience
  • Certifications in demand and/or supply planning a plus
  • Min 7 year work experience leading demand or supply plann
