We reward and recognize our employees based on our values of Aspire to Greatness, Respect All, Own It, Working Together, Persist with Passion. Who We’re Looking For:As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Associate Director Strategic Sourcing will oversee strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, and supply chain optimization for medical device manufacturing. We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills to manage cost-effective solutions, foster supplier partnerships, and develop a talented procurement team to support our mission of delivering innovative medical devices. This role is based in Portsmouth, NH or Minnetonka, MN. About the Role:
  • Develop and implement supply chain and supplier strategies to support business growth, profitability, and innovation objectives in the medical device industry.
  • Lead supplier selection and qualification through robust RFI and RFQ processes.
  • Negotiate and establish OEM Supply Contracts and/or Distribution Agreements to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with medical device standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching, set clear performance goals, and implement development plans to enhance team capabilities and career growth.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for complex manufacturing and supply chain challenges, supporting commercialization, innovation, and strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with Social Responsibility, Quality, and Regulatory teams to develop and execute annual supplier audit plans, driving timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Lead global, cross-functional, end-to-end pipeline processes to identify and execute initiatives that reduce supply chain complexity, enhance efficiency, and deliver cost savings.
  • Influence and collaborate with internal teams and external partners, fostering innovation and excellence in strategic sourcing while promoting a team-oriented environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in supply chain operational functions (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, engineering, planning, or procurement/sourcing) within the medical device or related regulated industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct people management, with ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lean Six Sigma working knowledge and practical application experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, mentor direct reports, and communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Ability to embrace new ideas and facilitate diverse perspectives with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Background in leading collaboration across business and supply chain functions.
  • A global perspective and willingness to travel (domestic and international) to build meaningful supplier relationships.
  • Experience in medical device supply chain management, including familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
