Description
Perricone Juices (aka Perricone Farms), a leading citrus juice supplier located in Beaumont, CA, is seeking a Logistics / Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team. This is fast-paced position which offers long-term, consistent employment with a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to Health, Vision, Dental, Life and 401K.
- Pay Rate: $65 - $80K annually
- Shift / Hours: Monday – Friday, plus Saturday (Alternating)
Job Duties:
Logistics / Warehouse Assistant Manager will be accountable for various job duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Support strategy execution for logistics and rolling stock.
- Implement financial metrics and associated KPIs to track all delivery expenses.
- Develop and implement global transportation cost-savings programs for year-over-year savings initiatives.
- Act as a key contributor to freight initiatives.
- Supervise and schedule truck drivers to execute daily deliveries and ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for the truck fleet.
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, emphasizing safety and customer service, by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees.
- Manage daily end-to-end warehouse operations, including determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping methods.
- Train and manage the warehouse team to resolve day-to-day operational issues and achieve short- and long-term performance goals.
- Oversee daily operations while maintaining control of inventory.
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards, procedures, and legal compliance.
- Stay informed about industry and global logistics trends to identify opportunities that benefit the company.
- Manage shipping and receiving functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of goods in and out of the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and driver training meet the highest standards for driver safety.
- Work closely with the Customer Service Department to secure competitive freight rates across all sales channels and lanes.
- Consult with various internal departments to identify opportunities for improving the supply-chain network.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and specifications within the department.
- Act as a key contributor to leading and improving the full order cycle.
- Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
- Arrange warehouse space, catalog goods, plan routes, and coordinate shipments.
- Resolve any issues or complaints that arise in operations.
- Supervise, coach, and train Driver Class A workforce.
- Ensure compliance with DOT laws, regulations, and CHP requirements.
- Manage logistics for all company-related transportation needs.
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse, including scheduling, training, and organizing staff to ensure proper shift staffing.
- Conduct timely and constructive annual performance evaluations.
- Manage employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy.
- Complete required management reports and track KPIs.
- Research, identify, and present new ideas to improve warehouse and logistics operations.
- Attend and actively participate in regular and ad-hoc meetings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company safety policies.
- Regularly inspect equipment, tools, and machinery and oversee maintenance when needed.
- Analyze productivity with warehouse leads and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations, to ensure efficient space utilization.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system.
- Prepare the annual budget and manage budgetary compliance.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to coordinate logistics operations.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle from order placement to delivery.
