Responsible for Capital Advisory support of the Commercial line of business, as part of the Capital Resilience & Analytics team. The Commercial Capital Advisor is responsible for the capital allocation framework we apply to the ~$90B of assets in our Commercial Portfolio and the dynamic capital framework used for new originations. The role will focus on establishing cross functional relationships with business, finance, risk capital stress testing, regulatory and accounting teams that also support commercial.
Responsibilities:
Allocate capital across Commercial portfolios to help the business understand relative differences in capital need and returns
Design and guide the implementation of capital assignment in Commercial pricing models to inform decision making for new originations
Ensure accuracy of reported capital metrics
Monitor and diagnose capital metrics changes across Commercial portfolios
Evaluate potential impacts to capital need driven by changes in regulatory requirements, portfolio mix shift and market dynamics
Present key changes and insights related to capital need
Hold frequent interactions with the key members of capital management, capital stress testing, Commercial finance and business teams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in financial modeling and financial analysis
At least 1 year of experience in securitization, finance, or capital markets
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative field of study
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) license
At least 2 years of experience in securitization, or in finance, or in capital markets
At least 1 year of experience in credit modeling
At least 1 year of experience in data analysis
At least 1 year of experience working with relational databases to include SQL or SAS
Experience working effectively in a team environment, delivering accurate results, and adhering to tight deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts in practical terms
Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $114,700 - $130,900 for Sr. Analyst, Capital Markets & RiskCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
