Job Summary:

The Research Affairs Project Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Dean and the Office of the Dean, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of high-priority initiatives that advance the School of Medicine’s mission and strategic goals. This role applies advanced project management expertise to translate strategic vision into actionable plans, align resources, and ensure measurable results. The Project Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution of administrative centralization efforts within the Clinical Trials Office and affiliated service centers. This role will support the launch and expansion of a centralized infrastructure for cell and gene therapy trials, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, regulatory standards, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Project Leadership (25%)

    • Lead end-to-end project management for initiatives that support the School’s strategic priorities, including academic, research, clinical, and institutional goals.

    • Collaborate with leadership to define project objectives, success metrics, and key deliverables that align with the Dean’s vision and institutional strategy.

    • Manage project timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables with a focus on long-term value and sustainability.

    • Anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Business Strategy Alignment (25%)

    • Ensure all initiatives are closely tied to the School’s strategic plan and operational goals.

    • Provide analysis, recommendations, and decision-support materials that inform strategic planning and resource allocation.

    • Monitor progress against strategic priorities and prepare high-level reports, dashboards, and updates for leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Engagement (25%)

    • Serve as a central coordination point for projects involving multiple departments, centers, and external partners.

    • Facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

    • Lead strategic workgroups and steering committees, maintaining momentum and accountability.

  • Change Management & Implementation (25%)

    • Integrate change management principles into project plans to ensure stakeholder adoption and long-term success.

    • Support Dean’s Office Leadership in communicating project goals, progress, and outcomes to internal and external audiences.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
