Responsibilities

4. Performance, Resilience & Non‑Functional Assurance

• Define success metrics for:
• Latency and throughput
• High availability and fault tolerance
• Failover and recovery behavior
• Oversee performance testing and tuning strategy for RAC under HFT loads.
• Recommend selective optimizations (e.g., Oracle In‑Memory) where justified by data.

 

5. Infrastructure & Integration Alignment

• Work closely with infrastructure, network, and storage teams to ensure:
• Low‑latency interconnect design
• Storage performance suitable for RAC and HFT workloads
• Validate that platform capabilities support the target performance and resilience requirements.

 

6. Operational Readiness & Transition

• Ensure operational requirements are embedded in the design:
• Monitoring and observability
• Runbooks and operational procedures
• BAU support and escalation models
• Oversee knowledge transfer and production readiness sign‑off.
• Support post‑go‑live stabilization (hypercare) as required.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience as a Senior / Enterprise Solution Architect in large‑scale financial services environments.
• Strong architectural and practical expertise in Oracle RAC.
• Experience designing low‑latency, high‑throughput systems for Markets, Post‑Trade, or HFT workloads.
• Ability to align application design, database architecture, and infrastructure capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and governance experience in regulated environments.

Desirable

• Experience migrating from batch‑oriented to near real‑time data architectures.
• Knowledge of Oracle In‑Memory, GoldenGate, or event streaming platforms.
• Prior experience working within Client or a Tier‑1 investment bank.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: [$119015 to $170000
