About the role

Job Summary:

The Digital Products Architect will be responsible for architecting and integrating laser oriented digital products for Cymer Light Source. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of digital products.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design:

  • Lead the design and integration of valuable laser-oriented digital products for our customers.
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for digital product integration, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of design methodologies and utilize design engineering tools, systems analysis, and database management.

Functional Requirements:

  • Create detailed functional requirements that specify what must be accomplished by the embedded applications teams.
  • Ensure that the functional requirements are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with the overall product vision and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring they are feasible and actionable.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of digital products and integration projects.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor software development teams to ensure best practices and innovation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when applicable.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Interact with cross-functional groups (managers, engineers, program/project leads, customer support, manufacturing, marketing, and upper management) to build constructive and effective relationships.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.

Data Integration and Quality:

  • Establish and enforce data integration policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance with standards.
  • Develop and execute test plans for digital product integration, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Utilize knowledge of data management, data visualization, and other communication protocols to support digital product integration initiatives.

Process Improvement:

  • Conform to the approved ASML’s Product Generation Process (PGP) and Software Development Process, championing process improvement.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve existing processes to reduce inefficiencies and accelerate product development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. MS or PhD is a plus.

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in digital product architecture and integration.

- Strong knowledge of data management principles and practices, including data integration, data governance, and data quality.

- Hands-on experience with data collection devices and integration with customer-facing products.

- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage the critical path of key project deliverables.

- Advanced knowledge of design engineering tools, systems analysis and design, and database management.

- Strong C++ and/or Python knowledge, Object-Oriented Design principles, and embedded development experience.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.

- Ability to work under deadlines and handle aggressive timelines with agility and a results-driven approach.

- Some travel required based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically chipmaker fab operations and policies. 

- Experience with distributed computing technologies. 

- Understanding of product development lifecycle and engineering change control processes and tools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- The environment is generally moderate in temperature and noise level.

- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

- Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.

- Must be able to observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.
